Dawn Cabua

Dawn Cabua is an aspiring physician and self-taught acrylic artist from the Cebu whose creative journey began in 2019 during the COVID-19 pandemic. What started as a personal outlet for reflection and emotional expression gradually evolved into a passionate artistic practice that continues to grow alongside her career in healthcare.

Working primarily with acrylics, Dawn is drawn to the beauty of animals, flora, fauna, and the ever-changing wonders of nature. She embraces vibrant colors, expressive brushwork, and richly textured surfaces to create paintings that celebrate life, resilience, and the emotions that connect us all. While nature remains her greatest inspiration, she enjoys exploring a variety of subjects that allow her creativity to flow freely.

Her experience as a healthcare provider has deepened her appreciation for the human spirit, patience, and healing; qualities that naturally find their way into her work. Each painting becomes an extension of her emotions, inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and find moments of joy, peace, and wonder.

Entirely self-taught, Dawn continues to refine her craft through curiosity, experimentation, and a genuine love for painting.
