Ezra

I’m Ezra, a visual artist based in Quezon City. I work in acrylic and oil, creating paintings that transition from afternoon to night scenes of nature. I find beauty in how light changes the landscape, how the warmth of the afternoon softens into the cool, calm of evening. I use deep blues and greens to create shadowy spaces, then add glowing hints, such as moonlight, fireflies, or reflections, to bring each scene to life. To me, night is soothing and magical, and through my work, I aim to share that gentle magic with others.

In my recent paintings, you'll meet Kaia, a child who loves to wander from her neighborhood into the forest, and the Lumis, the gentle, glowing spirits she encounters there. Kaia reflects both the childhood I had and the one I wished could have lasted longer. The Lumis bring comfort, a sense of belonging, and hope. As Kaia explores the woods and learns from these soft, glowing spirits, I tell a story of innocence, emotional connection, and finding light in darkness. I hope my work invites viewers to pause, reflect, and rediscover the quiet beauty that exists in the world around us.
