Nathalie Dagmang is an artist born and based in Marikina City. As a Marikeño, she uses her art to respond to the social and ecological issues concerning riverside farming, urban development, and flooding in her hometown and the broader Marikina River ecosystem. Her most known works are intermedia installations that make use of photography, video, found objects and archival materials drawn from the landscapes and communities she engages with through her socially-engaged art practice.
Alongside her interdisciplinary art practice, she also creates collages, assemblages, drawings, small paintings, and mixed media works. These works serve as her creative exercises that help lift the pressures of doing mostly community-based art, while allowing her to remain grounded in her personal sensibilities as an artist.
