Zapateria builds upon the heritage of footwear-making in Marikina as it continually bridges the district's rich history to the contemporary.

With a legacy that spans for over 135 years, the workshop was revived as 'Zapateria' in 2015 and it has since served as a creative playground for aspiring footwear makers and enthusiasts — as well as an inspiring hub that strives to entice the next generation in supporting the local craft.
