Auggie Fontanilla

Auggie Fontanilla is a Filipino contemporary artist, street artist, and designer based in Manila whose multidisciplinary practice spans painting, sculpture, and t-shirt printing. His work blends religious iconography with tattoo philosophy, Americana, gang and prison emblems, creating a distinctive visual language that reflects both personal and cultural narratives. Auggie has exhibited widely in the Philippines and internationally, including a solo exhibition Kristo Y Kristos at the Cultural Center of the Philippines, and participates in group shows and art projects that explore socially engaged and street-informed art.

In addition to his studio practice, Auggie is part of the arts collective Soil of Cultures, where he contributes as an in-house artist and graphic designer, shaping visual identity, publications, and community work. His roots in graffiti, drawing, and apparel design inform his dynamic approach, bridging fine art and urban culture while engaging with themes of identity, symbolism, and everyday life in Philippine visual culture.
