Pedro “Ding” Perez, the founder of Etniko Pilipino, has dedicated his efforts to promoting the rich material culture of various Indigenous Peoples in the Philippines. While Etniko Pilipino serves as his primary source of livelihood, it is also a passionate endeavor to showcase and preserve traditional crafts. Ding believes that when more people, especially fellow Filipinos, appreciate and support these unique products, it encourages Indigenous artisans to continue their craft, thereby improving their economic status. This is particularly crucial today, as only a few elderly artisans remain actively engaged in creating and weaving fabrics or handmade baskets.

Through Etniko Pilipino, Ding aims to foster a deep appreciation for local products among people of all ages, both within the Philippines and internationally. His vision is to see these traditional crafts not only cherished in their homeland but also celebrated across the globe, ensuring that the skills and heritage of Indigenous Peoples are preserved and passed down to future generations.
