About Kathleen
Kathleen Sareena Dagum is an educator, sculptress, and environmentalist hailing from Sultan Kudarat. As a multidisciplinary artist, she delves into various visual materials to enhance cultural appreciation, promote social values, champion children's rights, and advocate for the environment. Through her art, she visualizes these significant topics, utilizing exploration and storytelling to engage and educate. Much of her work reflects her core beliefs about what is essential in society, aiming to give a voice to those who lack access and opportunities. Dagum is particularly skilled at transforming scrap wire and metal, old paper, used fabric, and scrap wood into meaningful sculptures that offer introspection into herself and the world around her.
Dagum's academic achievements include a Bachelor in Secondary Education major in Mathematics (2011) and a Bachelor of Fine Art major in Studio Arts - Sculpture, graduating Magna Cum Laude (2017). Her talent and dedication were recognized in 2021 when she won the grand award in the sculpture category at the Metrobank Art and Design Excellence (MADE) competition. Through her innovative work, Dagum continues to inspire and elevate important social and environmental issues.

Kathleen Sareena Dagum
Kathleen Sareena Dagum is an educator, sculptress and environmentalist from Sultan Kudarat. She is a multidisciplinary artist who explores different visual materials with a purpose of upgrading appreciation of culture, understanding and fighting for social morale, elevating children’s rights, and advocating for the environment by visualizing these topics through exploration and storytelling. Most of her works are reflections of what she believes matter most in society and how her art can become a voice for those who cannot speak because of lack of access and opportunity. She loves manipulating forms using scrap wire and metal, old paper, used fabric, and scrap wood. Her sculptures usually have elements of introspection of herself and the society around her.
She graduated with two degrees, Bachelor in Secondary Education major in Mathematics (2011) and Bachelor of Fine Art major in Studio Arts -Sculpture – Magna Cum Laude (2017). She was the grand awardee of Metrobank Art and Design Excellence (MADE) in sculpture category in 2021
