About Monica
Monica Castillo is a talented up-and-coming visual artist who graduated Magna Cum Laude from De La Salle College of St. Benilde with a Bachelor's Degree in Arts at the School of Design & Arts. After that, she pursued her Master's Degree at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Tokyo University of the Arts.
Today, her artworks are primarily characterized by intricate layers of lines that create a distinct and captivating style. It's clear to see that Monica's technical mastery is combined with a childlike wonder that creates a captivating and inspiring experience for any viewer.
As a creator, Monica sees art as a great adventure, drawing inspiration from her memories, experiences, learnings, and senses. Because of this and more, her impressive artistry and unique perspective have garnered attention from various art enthusiasts and curators. Her works have been exhibited in several shows and galleries, not just in her home country of the Philippines, but also in the UK and Japan.
