Ko The work is a visual exploration of different approaches or "strategies" to structured thinking, resembling a thinking hat of sorts.
The work is inspired by masonry, in this case the unfinished perimeter walls common in the Philippine urban setting. The walls are distorted, echoing a sense of chaos, imbalance, and irregularity. KR notes the relation of the idea of building blocks both in play in youth and in adulthood in trying to reinvent the self important to the artwork.
