Who Are You?

Filipino artist Sven Lim also known as “Living Pages” immortalizes and revives old discarded books by turning them into sculpturesby means of art and engineering. From the dismantled pages, he creates sculptures with words all over it and mounts them back in a book to portray that the words in the book comes to life , as one imagines when reading a book.

His previous profession as a robotic arm engineer, greatly affects how he approaches his sculptures. His love for books and desire to show how words can come to life gave him an idea to combine his sculpting concept with books. He also turns musical sheets, old damaged comics, magazines, and other papers in making sculptures. And to preserve the works, clear varnish and clear resin is coated for protection and long life. His hope for his work is to create the right kind of ambience for private and public spaces for relaxation, meditation, and delight.
