Joann Comedido is the designer behind Arte ni Juana, a brand rooted in celebrating Filipino identity and heritage. She holds a degree in Sociology with minors in Anthropology from the University of San Carlos, Cebu, a foundation that shapes her culturally-informed approach to design. Before pursuing design, she spent 11 years working as a post-production producer and film club coordinator, honing a sharp eye for storytelling and visual detail. Her creative vision draws deeply from the vibrance of the pre-colonial Philippines, weaving indigenous patterns, colors, and symbolism into contemporary work. Equally influential is the environment she grew up in, grounding her designs in a personal, lived connection to Filipino culture and community.
