Basil began in Laguna in 2017 with designer Basil Malicsi's desire to bring art and fashion together. We turn original watercolor-print illustrations and lasercut technology combined with Filipino stories and local craftsmanship, into expressive contemporary Filipino resort and accessories. Our signature watercolor prints and laser-cut designs give each piece a distinct Basil identity.
Our point of view is that fashion is a personal expression. From artwork to finished garment, we create wearable art that helps customers feel confident, creative, and uniquely themselves. In our 2026 collection entitled, “Bakasyon,” expresses this through the color, ease, and joy of Philippine vacations through our signature caftans and contemporary Filipiniana wear creations.
