Rex Rubens

Rex Rubens Fernandez is a general artist based in Cebu, Philippines. As a versatile creative, his body of work spans various forms of visual art and design — from traditional and digital art to animation, film, motion graphics, graphic design, photography, and 3D modeling.
He currently serves as the co-owner and creative head, alongside his wife, of a small large-format printing company that caters to a wide range of client needs. Their services include printing and laser-cutting solutions such as banners, stickers, die-cut stickers, acrylic keychains, and trophies.
Beyond his business, Rex is a full-time assistant instructor at the University of San Carlos in Cebu City, where he shares his creative expertise with aspiring designers. He teaches courses in character design, cartooning, photography, storyboarding, animation, and art direction — shaping the next generation of visual storytellers.
While Rex rarely accepts commissions due to his busy schedule, he remains open to creative collaborations involving graphic design, illustration, or digital art projects. His approach to art is rooted in adaptability, craftsmanship, and a genuine passion for bringing ideas to life through visual expression.
