Each sequin is carefully stitched by hand, creating a detailed surface that brings traditional T’boli embellishment techniques into an everyday wearable form. The result is a playful yet refined bucket hat that highlights the precision and practiced skill behind the craft.
Temno Bentilas developed from Tembe Bensewit, an earlier form of garment embellishment using mother-of-pearl. Today, T’boli artisans continue to adapt this decorative tradition through sequins and contemporary garments, allowing the technique to take on new forms while retaining its distinctive character.
