There is a quiet beauty in finding pieces of ourselves in others. In the spaces where differences meet and familiarity takes shape, a sense of belonging begins to unfold. Kindred speaks of these unspoken connections, of shared spirit and the invisible threads that draw us closer. A reflection on the things that bind us, even when we are beautifully, undeniably different.
This work is part of Jamie Samson’s evolving Kinusaiga practice, where she reinterprets her original Cubist Pop Art compositions through the medium of textile. Using fabric as both pigment and material, Samson constructs each image through a meticulous process of layering, cutting, and hand tucking, bringing a tactile dimension to her established visual language.
